A reports problem

I extended php.ini timeout.
Can you tell me how to restrict the data range?

-Its taking too long to run.
-Either increase the maximum execution time in php.ini or add a filter to
the reports to restrict the date range so the report ---doesnt have as much
work to do and therefore takes <30 seconds to run.
