Unable to sa-compile

In which case you probably aren't using DCC. So comment out the DCC 
lines from your /etc/mail/spamassassin/*pre and 
/etc/MailScanner/spam.assassin.prefs.conf files.
Then do another "spamassassin --lint" to be sure it completes without 
printing any errors.
