Working under pressure isn't always the best way to resolve problems:-).

As to the original problem... Did you by any chance edit the rule
file(s) under Windoze? Have you run a "MailScanner --lint"? What
you've quoted here looks OK, but... If your rules aren't working there
are more debug optiions, to verify exactly what MailScanner will do...
Try a "MailScanner --help" and you'll see;-).

Hmmm, perhaps I should look at the rest of this thread... Oh my $DEITY
! How a simple debug excercise turns vicious! Argh.
Well, I hope you'll find MIMEDefang as powerful and useful as
MailScanner... last I looked it wasn't, but then ... that was a while
back.
If you had asked nicely, I know for a fact that Jules would've helped
you out (along with a few others here... Hugo among them;-), perhaps
even if you had asked off-list.
That Jules makes very little money on MS is no secret. That he will do
consulting (that is: listen to your problem, log into your server and
solve said problem) at a reasonable fare (which it actually is) ... is
no secret either. He's both fast and good.
Ah well. Be well, all!

Cheers
