You should be able to use
    $hostname
or
    $linkhostname
Do neither of them work?
I have just changed all references of $hostname to $linkhostname in the reports and will test this shortly.

I also use the latest MailScanner and SL4.5 (RHEL4U5), have been using MailScanner for years while this $hostname has never worked. This hasn't ever bothered me until I started customising reports for different people.

I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

Michael.
