Even spammers take a holiday?

I've seen about a 40% reduction in spam per day since last Friday.
Seemed strange to me since you'd think this would be their busiest time of 
year - just like the arrogant kiosk hand lotion sales people in the malls.
Anomaly? Or do they succumb to the spirt of giving like the rest of the world?
