Upgrade to clamav 0.90.2 makes scanning extremely slow

I've been running 0.90.2 (self-compiled with Julian's Install-Clam-SA 
script) since Tuesday on RHEL4 servers and didn't see a performance hit 
either.  My servers are running clamavmodule (Mail-ClamAV-0.20.tar.gz) 
which I had to recompile after installing 0.90.2.
