It's funny that you do exactly what you ask them not to do.
It is also the responsability of Julian or the list admin to make this 
request, not you, not me, but I do agree with you.

Another reason is, this is an international list, some members in 
smaller countries may be on a very small link paying per megabyte,
it all adds up in the end for them, remember, not all members might have
multiple gigabit links at flat rate prices like many of us do.
