MailScanner putting dirs in /proc

Hello!

I have been upgrading from 4.48. to 4.55.10, before mailscanner where 
making folders in folder /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming but after 
upgrading these folders are in folder /proc.

If i check in my MailScanner.conf file
Incoming Work Dir = /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming


A second question. Should these folders not be deleted by MailScanner? 
Every day there is a couple that not are deleted.
