Seen this too (same distro/version), but ...
Does the install halt with that, or continue? IIRC you already have a
fairly modern ExtUtils::MakeMaker module (same version ISTR), so you
should be able to just ignore it. I'll just have to VPN a bit....
# rpm -qf /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7/ExtUtils/MakeMaker.pm

perl-5.8.7-3.2.20060mdk
Hm, slightly older (version 6.17) but have had no problems with it.
The rpm install will conflict with the above package, so won't be able
to install anyway.
