Help! MS broken after upgrade from 4.51.6 to 4.54.6-1

This is Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 3)

This is MailScanner version 4.54.6

Error message in /var/log/maillog:
"...status=deferred (delivery temporarily suspended: transport is unavailable)"
