Mailscanner mqueuein trouble

And what about the Queue Scan Interval?.  The default value is 30 ( I 
think), I´m testing 10 in one server to see if I get a better result.
Which is the disadvantages of using ramdisks for the 
/var/spool/MailScanner/incoming dir?
