but Linux beats fBSD when everything runs in RAM.  Considering our machines 
are always running with zero swap used, we "should" get a bit more out of 
them on Linux.  How much will probably be a matter for speculation, as the 
benchmarks we've used are fairly artificial - they are purely programatic 
tests that bypass certain things in order to work.
