OT Advice for server reinstalation

I have gone the upgrade route before, but I don't recommend it. I only did it
because I didn't have the time or hardware to do a fresh install.
Maybe you could stick in another hard drive and dual boot for a while until
the migration is done.
That way a working server is just a 3 fingered salute away!
