sendmail greet_pause feature

What would be a reliable way to do it? IANAP, but there *should* be some 
form of a test that could be done using the actual sendmail executable, 
or some other testable function, right? What's involved? Maybe I can 
offer "the idiot suggestion" - you know, when every possible logical way 
of doing something has been tried, but then a complete idiot comes along 
and says something so illogical, so crazy, that it "just might work"... 
It *has* happened to me before, and it's taught me to always at least 
*consider* "idiot suggestions".
