MailScanner hangs once a day

I would suggest looking at the cron logs (/var/cron/log or similar)
to see if some cron job launches at that time and gets underfoot.
I happen to run /opt/MailScanner/bin/update_phishing_sites every day
at 9:22, which jogged my memory on this.
