Changin MX machine to it's own, recommendations please...

Ahhh, ok cool, i guess i should go have a coffee now....  :)

So for updates to this package , i simply re-install over or is there 
another way? say the next update/ version comes out of MS 4.54 say, so i 
download the same install package?
