Dear Ken, Julian, Alex,

thanks for your answers and hints to solutions. For now I solved the problem 
by writing a small TCL script called by a */5 minute cron job. Works well as 
a one-time hack and the window of 5 minutes before a move, where a huge 
message could arrive and stop a download by the user can be considered 
irrelevant.
