spam checks in /var/spool/mqueue.in without having MS service running???

Well, it seems to have caught back up.  Initially it seemed like it was
processing very slowly but it looks OK now.  If I didn't have a seconday
MX server I would be in much worse shape.  I am looking into running a
local caching name server which I hope will speed things up for my
environment (fingers crossed).  Thanks for your suggestions.
