I believe that Julian is aware of this problem so there should be an answer
soon. In the meantime calling ClamAV with clamavmodule instead of clamav
solved the problem with the error messages for me at two sites. Of course
you must have the perl module Mail::ClamAV (0.17) installed to use
clamavmodule. 

I don't believe there was ever a problem with the message being delivered -
just the error message.
