Failed MailScanner 4.40.11 Install

Have you tried installing p5-Mime-Tools from the port collection?
If a port exists, (and it does for p5-Mime-Tools) it's usually better to try the port before CPAN.
I didn't have any problems installing it from the port on FreeBSD 4.11.
