Reject emails to nonexistent addresses?

I'm chomping at the bit to enable milter-ahead, but right now we're running
on Exchange 5.5, but will be upgrading 2003 in the next couple months.  Will
that be seamless or is there some configuring I need to take into account on
5.5/2003?
