Doesn't scan for virus on spam forwarded to an email address

Here is a description of our system.

MailScanner 4.28.6
SpamAssassin 2.64
McAfee virus scanner

The way were are setup is that all spam is forwarded to an email account.
The problem we have is that  if the email is detected as spam, the email is
forwarded to the spam email account without being scanned for viruses. Some
emails are detected as spam and contain a virus.
Is there a way to scan for viruses before scanning for spam?
Maybe there is other ways to deal with this problem, but that is the only
solution I found.
