CentOS 3 is a RHEL3 clone. CentOS 4 (a RHEL4 clone) is in rc1 state with
final release due in about 10 days. So, basically, if it runs on RHEL4
it runs on CentOS4. Me, for production machines? I like to wait a bit so
that the "other" packages are updated and allow for the bugs to be found
before jumping onboard with a new distro. I would no more run RHEL4
right now, than CentOS4. I'm content with CentOS 3 for a while longer,
although I'm drooling over the finally included MySQL 4.1 in the 4
distro. But, again, for production servers... I've been burned before...
so I'll sit where I am for a bit longer. For a testbed.. sure.. grab 4
and see what issues you have.
Best,
