Doesn't scan for virus on spam forwarded to an email address

You can always install clamav-milter so that sendmail catches viruses before
mailscanner does, thereby reducing the load on your server - if you use
sendmail.

Upgrade to the latest version and see if it still a problem. I can't
remember from that long ago (10 months).
