Ouch.. Looks like at least one of your files has a severely mangled score
statement that's got some escape character garbage in it.

That would be enough to confuse the parser.

grep "+1.7" /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf

Non-severe, but you've got a typo there too.. One too many I's.
