/var and /var/spool are on the same partition.

This is a known issue for some postfix users.. from the postfix docs,
postfix can and will reuse queue / message ids.. Julian fixed this a few
minor versions back so if you upgrade (assuming you haven't already) this
should be fixed.

This has also to do with the fact that your /var and /var/spool may not be
on the same partition. Read the mailscanner archives for november / december
2004 for a better explanation.
