unable to write pid to sendmail.pid

Sadly, the same thing occurs;

Aug  1 15:30:12 sendmail-out[26867]: unable to write pid to
/var/run/sendmail.pid: file in use by another process

I wonder if MailScanner is starting multiple instances of sendmail.
