System denying relay attemts fro external hosts

Hi,
My new system will not accept any new mail from external hosts to
deliver mail for the domains I host.

It says relaying denied

I have edited the mailertable file and restarted the machine. Is there
something I am not doing?

I have a SUSE 9.2 machine with the latest MS version
