MS 4.34.6-1 & SA 3.0.0 auto-whitelist problem?

Am running MS 4.34.6-1 (BETA) + SA 3.0.0 on RH AS3 with Sendmail +
Sophos + McAfee.

I have "SpamAssassin Auto Whitelist = no" in MailScanner.conf but I
notice that the file /root/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist is being
actively updated. I do not want to auto-whitelist!

I assume that if I have turned auto-whitelisting off via
MailScanner.conf I do not need also to add "use_auto_whitelist 0" to
spam.assassin.prefs.conf.

Have I missed something?
