Problems with F-Prot

The normal reason for this is people running Debian-stable, as the version
of MailScanner they ship with that is totally ancient. What version of
F-Prot are you using?

I think in this case you have a permissions problem. The user you are
running MailScanner as, doesn't have the ability to access (or possibly
even write) to the /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming directory. Hence the
"Error on reading ..." errors.
