Mailscanner Spamassassin timing out

Accrding to the web site of surbl:
Unlike SpamAssassin 3, earlier SpamAssassin versions 2.63 and 2.64 don't
have built-in support for SURBLs, but you can add it with Eric Kolve's
SpamCopURI patch. The sample rules included with the distribution use the
latest and greatest combined list multi.surbl.org.

I have 2.61 of spamassassin, so I think I might hold off until I upgrade the
whole box before I do installing of some stuff (remember I am a novice and
good at messing it up). Unless you think that the machine is just not fit
for using the BigEvil I will take it out.

You say remove the bigevil.cf etc. Does that simply mean to delete the
files that begin with begevil?

Thank you for all of your help.

Billy

I'd run the sa timeout setting at least 80, prob more if you are using
RBL's and not running a local copy of the RBL DNS info.

If you are running RulesDujour take out bigevil.cf etc as it's a massive
load on RAM. use the surbl.org pluging instead.
