Mailscanner Spamassassin timing out

Note: I am a novice at Linux.

SpamAssassin Timeout = 60
Max SpamAssassin Timeouts = 20

Version of Spamassassin = Looks like 2.61

I am running RulesDuJour

I don't really know if my bayes is working. I tried to get it working a
while back and I got lost in the mist of bayes somewhere along the
line. So I'll have to go back again and read about Bayes.

I upgraded the RAM just now to 768 so hopefully that will help.

I could have swore that somewhere in the log it timed out so much that it
said that it disable RBL checks. Would have this happened? Where do I
check?

Sample of load average (before I upgraded the RAM)
Connections Rejected due to load average::
    Load Avg 12: 5 Times(s)
    Load Avg 13: 1 Times(s)
    Load Avg 14: 1 Times(s)

Here is the spam list in my mailscanner.conf if it helps any:
Spam List = ORDB-RBL spamcop.net spamhaus.org

I bypassed the MailScanner machine yesterday. After increasing the RAM and
letting it run through the 6xx messages that it had, it seems to be running
ok now and I put it back into production. Its average number of emails in a
batch usually is around 6. Could it have been that a few particular
messages were sent to the machine that were just big or something?

"If you have those disable bayes_auto_expire in
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf and set "Rebuild Bayes Every" in
MailScanner.conf."

I checked my local.cf file and there are nothing in there but comments. I
looked in my MailScanner.conf for a Rebuild Bayes setting and there was
none. I am guessing that this is because my MailScanner version is older,
4.25-14.

The command free returns this (remember I just put more ram in it)
[root at MailScanner root]# free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 772408 361576 410832 0 23948 52856
-/+ buffers/cache: 284772 487636
Swap: 393112 0 393112

So It looks like it was probably defiantly out of ram. I look at free even
before it was processing any mail and the machine was using 26x megs of RAM.
