Help! - MailScanner ceased working (not fixed)

For the archive, this is caused by a bad bug in Sys::Hostname::Long.
This module only works on GNU systems (including Linux), and has to be
hacked by hand (or just not installed) on Solaris and other non-GNU
systems. Search the code for "--fqdn" and you will see that it is wrong.
