Talking about Vispan, i got error in my FC1 machine while running Vispan :

Vispan
/usr/bin/perl: relocation error:
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto/GD/GD.so:
undefined symbol: gdFontGetLarge

i've installed GD and GD::Graph properly :

cpan> install GD
CPAN: Storable loaded ok
Going to read /root/.cpan/Metadata
  Database was generated on Tue, 23 Nov 2004 04:49:17 GMT
GD is up to date.

cpan> install GD::Graph
GD::Graph is up to date.
