Thanks, again.

Yep, that is the file I was referring to. I tried installing as is, and just
in case there was something going on with the --noclam option. Neither
finished properly. But after reading your description of what is going on, I
think I see what is happening.

I think, though, that tomorrow I will just install the tar.gz, after
sa-learn --rebuild, and from then after.

This just seems too complicated for my little brain. It used to be a lot
easier in my younger years.
