virtusertable...

We have a situation where we want to divert messages on a user basis to a
different local server.
 
Currently all mails to abc.com goto esmtp[192.168.1.1]  using the
mailertable database.
 
 
We are looking at using virtusertable to divert mesasge destined for:
 
user1 at abc.com to user1 at wxyz.com
 
Is it possible to use the mailertable and the virtusertable alongside
each other?
 
Is this theory going to work with what we are planning?
