I should have added:

Thoroughly test MailScanner processing and email delivery. If you see any
"cannot decode" error messages. Simply stop MailScanner, then run the
MailScanner 4.35.9-1 install script again.

Start MailScanner and again thoroughly test MailScanner Processing and email
delivery.

All should now be well.
