Hi All,
I upgraded one of my scanners to the latest beta and SA 3.01 on Saturday
and have just been checking up on it's progress this morning and noticed
that quite a few spams had got through - further investigation showed
that all of them sneaked through because of the 'AWL' (auto white-list)
rule.
In MailScanner.conf - I've got:
SpamAssassin Auto Whitelist = no
However this seems to be ignored if SA3 is used - I found the following
in SA.pm:
if (MailScanner::Config::Value('spamassassinautowhitelist')) {
# JKF 14/6/2002 Enable the auto-whitelisting functionality
MailScanner::Log::InfoLog("Enabling SpamAssassin auto-whitelist
functionality...");
if ($SAversion<3) {
<snip>
}
}
So I've added:
use_auto_whitelist 0
to spam.assassin.prefs.conf which has disabled it successfully.
Has anyone else experienced this?? - it's probably worth a mention
somewhere for upgraders.
Kind regards,
Steve.
