I've been and I've figured, and now I'm back and I might be able to
explain...

I think you have a typo, you should be using sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org NOT
sbl-xbl.spamhause.org.  Spamhause.org is an entirely seperate domain
which is currently parked, all DNS queries with that domain (well
anything random I tried anyway) return a response, the address of the
holders website.
