Specific E-mail hanging POP3 mail clients

We have seen this type of problem with Eudora (we use little Outlook
here). I do the server and don't look at Windows machines, so this will be
a little vague.

Apparently Eudora downloads into a temp directory and when the desktop
antivirus deletes stuff from there before Eudora tries to move it to the
permanent location, Eudora chokes when it can't be found. The result is no
mail to the user. Our solution was to remove that directory from the
places where the antivirus checks. A one time solution would be to delete
the offending message on the server, but I refuse to do that since the
problem will reappear.
