Postfix Trouble -- MailScanner failing to start

I have installed mailscanner-4.27.7-1 along with postfix-2.0.19 on Fedora Core
1 linux, along with the kaspresky anti-virus program.

I have read (and I believe followed) the instructions presented in the
"MailScanner Installation Guide - Postfix", i.e I've run the chroot jail scripts,
created all the postfix duplicate directories for the second postfix.in instance,
etc.

I am using the two postfix instance approach. Postfix appears to function fine.
Alas when I run "check_MailScanner "
I get the following output
*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*
"Starting MailScanner...
Cannot open config file /etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf, Permission denied
at /usr/lib/MailScanner/MailScanner/Config.pm line 535."
*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*
If I change the
"Run As User = postfix"
line to read
"Run As User ="
MailScanner will start.

/etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf is owned by root.root with 640 rights.
I've tried changing rights and using postfix.postfix as the owner but with no
different result.

Any suggestions or ideas to try would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance --
