You have slightly misunderstood the setting. Messages bigger than "Max
SpamAssassin Size" are still passed to SpamAssassin, they are just
truncated after "Max SpamAssassin Size" bytes. Most of the SpamAssassin
rules will work just fine without the whole message, especially when the
message is large. I set it to about 30000 on my own servers and it doesn't
affect the SpamAssassin success rate at all.
