Is my Mail Scanner Dropping Mail?

Hi,

Last week all my users stopped receiving email.
When email was sent to any user, it just vanished into nowhere. No email
was delivered into anybody's mail box, yet nothing "bounced" back.

I ran sendmail w/o the scanner and things are fine. What could the
problem be, and can I ever get the lost email?

I am using redhat 9, MailScanner, ClamAV, sendmail, bind...
