just installed mailscanner. cant receive mails

Hello

I just installed MailScanner on my 
Mandrake pc with postfix. I followed the 
steps on
http://www.sng.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailscanner/install/postfix.shtml

but when I actually run it as specified
on that manual, I can't actually receive mails.
I checked with /var/mail/myname (default mail 
location) and nothing seems to go into it.

And I keep seeing 

MailScanner E-Mail Virus Scanner version 4.28.5
starting... 

almost every 10 seconds on my postfix log.
Is this normal?
