Perl - CPAN Error - need help

Perl 5.8.0

[root at mrburns downloads]# perl -MCPAN -e shell "install Archive::Zip"
Undefined value assigned to typeglob at (eval 13) line 15, <RC> line 11.
Warning [/etc/inputrc line 11]:
  Invalid variable `mark-symlinked-directories'

cpan shell -- CPAN exploration and modules installation (v1.61)
ReadLine support enabled

This is after reinstalling the Perl and CPAN rpms.

I can't upgrade or start the original MailScanner at the moment. Any help
would be appreciated.
