MCP Problems - URGENT

That's great, I will change my cf files to reflect this. While we are on the subject I have two quick questions:-
1) Are there any other characters I should be careful with?
2) How can I get the system to look for '|' and '@', each time I put them in the cf file the MCP checks stop working.
Thanks for everyone's help on this
Jez

Why not create a Spam Assassin rule?
It should be /the\.re/i
'.' matches any character.
