install errors

Hi

i am trying 2 install mailscanner from fresh install on my system. version 4-31.6 RPM

i have 
perl 5.8.0
gcc 3.2.3

i run the install.sh script and it goes off to do its stuff and at the end i get this

Oh good, module Archive::Zip version 1.09 is already installed.

Oh good, module Convert::BinHex version 1.119 is already installed.


Installing tnef decoder

error: failed dependencies:

Now to install MailScanner itself.

how can i sort these errors? i have libc.so 
whereis libc.so.6
libc.so: /lib/libc.so.6 /usr/lib/libc.so
