freshclam and clamd 0.74

Hi All,

I have installed ClamAV .74 on an FC2 system. When I run
freshclam it updates the database but then barfs complaining about
being unable to update the clamd daemon.

I'm not running clamd and don't need it for what we are doing on this
server. I just need to scan certain directories which have data that has
been scanned twice in different systems before it is placed there.

Is there a way to tell freshclam that the daemon isn't running? I looked
at /etc/clamav.conf but that appears to be just configuration for clamd.

Any help appreciated!
