I will try to get more info on what happened as time permits.
I can tell you that it seemed to be the upgrade that caused the backlog
of mail in mqueue.in. Right now I'm just glad to see the number of
messages in mqueue.in dropping again. Here's what happened visually
after upgrading from Mailscanner-4.26.5-1 to MailScanner-4.27.6-1 at 11

I tried turning off DCC, Pyzor, tweaking a few other options, but to no
avail. I'm back to 4.26.5-1 now and things snapped back rather quickly
when I downgraded.
