'@' symbol in "stored.xxxxx.message.txt" files

[Julian Field]

This sounds like a Perl bug if it is producing different results on
different platforms, OSs and versions.
I'll rewrite the code so it is phrased differently.

Please can you try this patch to Message.pm.
